Kaski administration requests patience as services resume

GANDAKI: The District Administration Office in Kaski has requested the public for patience as it works to resume full services in the coming days. The office sustained significant damage due to vandalism and arson during last week’s Gen-Z protest.

Chief District Officer Rudra Devi Sharma stated that cleanup efforts, including trash collection, debris removal, and repair work, are currently underway. She urged service seekers to remain patient during the restoration process. However, essential administrative functions, including peace and security operations, have resumed since Sunday.

Security personnel and office staff have been mobilized for repair, sanitation, and painting efforts. The office suffered extensive physical damage during the protest, with critical infrastructure left in disrepair. Several important devices, including computers, were burned or looted.

According to the administration, vital documents and records—such as citizenship certificates, passports, national ID cards, children’s ID cards, organizational registrations, and local administration and security documents—were destroyed in the fire.
