UML secretariat meeting today to discuss statute convention

KATHMANDU: The CPN-UML is holding a Secretariat meeting today at the party’s central office in Chyasal, Lalitpur.

According to party office secretary Dr. Bhishma Adhikari, the meeting, scheduled for 1 PM, will focus primarily on preparations for the party’s upcoming Second Statute Convention.

The statute convention is set to take place from September 5 to 7 in Godavari, Lalitpur, and UML has begun necessary preparations to host the event.

In the lead-up to the convention, UML has also scheduled two key internal meetings: a Politburo meeting on July 18 and a Central Committee meeting on July 21. Today’s Secretariat meeting is expected to finalize the agendas for both of these gatherings.

This will be the party’s 54th Secretariat meeting, with the previous one held on June 25.
