Today’s foreign currency exchange rates



KATHMANDU: The Nepal Rastra Bank has announced the foreign exchange rates for today (Thursday), showing a mixed trend in major international currencies.

The value of the US dollar, euro, pound sterling, Kuwaiti dinar, and Bahraini dinar has slightly declined, while the Australian dollar and Canadian dollar have shown marginal appreciation.

As of today, the buying rate for 1 US dollar is Rs 137.79 and the selling rate is Rs 137.39, reflecting a slight decrease from Wednesday’s Rs 137.94 and Rs 137.54.

Similarly, the euro is being traded at Rs 155.51 for buying and Rs 156.19 for selling, lower than yesterday’s Rs 156.46 and Rs 157.14.

The pound sterling is currently valued at Rs 181.56 for buying and Rs 182.36 for selling, down from Rs 181.91 and Rs 182.07 on Wednesday.

The Australian dollar has appreciated slightly, with the buying rate at Rs 87.20 and the selling rate at Rs 87.58, up from Rs 87.09 and Rs 87.47.

The Kuwaiti dinar is being exchanged at Rs 446.24 for buying and Rs 448.20 for selling, a slight dip from Rs 446.36 and Rs 448.32.

The Bahraini dinar has also weakened, with today’s rates at Rs 362.87 for buying and Rs 364.46 for selling, compared to Rs 363.29 and Rs 364.88 yesterday.

These fluctuations reflect broader trends in the international currency market, and the central bank has noted that commercial banks may offer slightly different rates. The official rates are updated daily on the NRB website.
