KATHMANDU: Gold prices declined in the local market on Tuesday, falling by Rs 1,700 per tola compared to the previous day, according to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association.
As per the federation, gold is being traded at Rs 259,000 per tola today. On Monday, gold was priced at Rs 260,700 per tola, which was recorded as the highest price so far.
Despite the drop in gold prices, silver prices increased in the domestic market on Tuesday. The price of silver rose by Rs 15 per tola to reach Rs 3,885.
The federation said fluctuations in international market trends and demand-supply dynamics continue to influence precious metal prices in the domestic market.
