Kulekhani-Kalanki-Humanay road to remain closed for 19 days from today

KATHMANDU: The Nepal Police Headquarters has urged all drivers to use alternative routes as the Kulekhani-Kalanki-Humanay road, a key route between Kathmandu and Hetauda, will be closed for 19 days starting today (Friday) for maintenance work.

Nepal Police Spokesperson and Senior Superintendent of Police Ramesh Thapa said the closure was announced in coordination with local administrative offices to minimize public inconvenience.

According to a public notice, the road section in Indrasarobar Rural Municipality, Makawanpur, will be completely closed to vehicular movement for 19 days to allow blacktopping work.

The notice, issued by the Police Headquarters, stated, “Nepal Police informs all concerned that vehicles traveling between Hetauda and Kathmandu are advised to use alternative routes such as Kantilokpath or the Kulekhani-Sisneri-Pharping road.”

It was also clarified that the road closure has been implemented in coordination with the local administration and local government bodies to facilitate the construction work.
