SUNSARI: Police have arrested three individuals in connection with a recent shooting incident in Dewangunj Rural Municipality, Sunsari.
According to Superintendent of Police (SP) Suman Kumar Timsina of Sunsari Police, those arrested have been identified as Shiva Kumar Mehta (21) of Dewangunj-7, and Rabin Kumar Yadav and Pintu Yadav of Dewangunj-1. Shiva Kumar Mehta sustained injuries during the incident and is currently undergoing treatment in Biratnagar under police custody.
SP Timsina stated that the search is ongoing to apprehend others involved in the incident. Police sources said that three individuals from one group have been arrested for their involvement in the criminal act, while three others from a second group remain at large.
Among those still absconding is Kameshwor Yadav, believed to be directly involved in the shooting. Preliminary investigations indicate that all individuals linked to the case have a history of criminal activity, SP Timsina added.
