Empowerment of all tiers of govt imperative: Minister Singh

LUMBINI: Minister for Urban Development, Prakash Man Singh, has said it is essential to empower all three tiers of government to enforce federalism effectively.

The laws are being made to empower federal, provincial and local levels with rights as per constitution, he informed.

Minister Singh said it while addressing the main celebration function of the 66th establishment day of Butwal Sub-metropolitan city.

He reminded that present government was formed by two big parties- the Nepali Congress and the UML- in order to ensure political stability.

The government is working actively to assuage despair among people.

He underlined, “The government is not formed for mere exercise of power, but for political stability and economic prosperity. We’re working for economic prosperity.”

Economic progress and development works are not realized unless country achieves political stability, he argued.
