Federal parliament committees convene meetings at Singha Durbar



KATHMANDU: Four committees under the Federal Parliament are scheduled to hold meetings today at Singha Durbar between 11 am and 1 pm.

The committees include the Finance Committee, State Affairs and Good Governance Committee, Development, Economic Affairs and Good Governance Committee, and the Public Policy and Delegated Legislation Committee.

The Finance Committee will deliberate on the proposed Bill to amend and consolidate the Customs Law, with inputs from experts.

The Development, Economic Affairs and Good Governance Committee will focus on reviewing the outcomes of the recent World Climate Conference (COP 29) and outlining Nepal’s future strategies in addressing climate challenges.

The Public Policy and Delegated Legislation Committee is set to discuss delegated legislation concerning the Tribhuvan University Act.

Meanwhile, the State Affairs and Good Governance Committee will engage in discussions on the Bill to establish provisions for the formation, operation, and service conditions of the Federal Civil Service.
