12 Acts amended at once



KATHMANDU: The government has introduced an ordinance to amend several laws, leading to simultaneous amendments in 12 different Acts.

This ordinance, titled “Ordinance amending some Nepal Acts related to the promotion of good governance and public service delivery”, was published in the Nepal Gazette on January 13.

The ordinance, issued by the President on January 13, has brought changes to the following 12 Acts:

1. Non-resident Nepali Act, 2064
2. Good Governance (Management and Operation) Act, 2064
3. Domestic Violence (Crime and Punishment) Act, 2066
4. Offence related to Assets and Goods (Freezing and Confiscation) Act-2070

5. Labor Act, 2074
6. Local Government Operation Act, 2074
7. The National Criminal Procedure (Code) Act, 2074
8. Health Insurance Act, 2074
9. Social Security Act, 2075
10. Crime Victim Protection Act, 2075
11. Retirement Fund Act, 2075
12. Yogmaya Ayurveda School Act, 2079
