KATHMANDU: The price of gold in Nepal climbed to a new record high on Wednesday, rising by Rs 400 per tola compared to the previous trading day.
According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Associations, hallmark gold is being traded at Rs 248,900 per tola, up from Rs 248,500 on Tuesday.
The precious metal has been setting new records every day since Friday, when it was traded at Rs 235,000 per tola.
Meanwhile, silver prices have dipped after hitting record highs earlier this week. Silver, which was traded at Rs 3,325 per tola on Tuesday, fell by Rs 85 to Rs 3,240 per tola on Wednesday, the federation reported.
