Both Houses of Federal Parliament to hold meetings today



KATHMANDU: A meeting of the the House of Representatives is scheduled to meet today at 1:00 PM at the Federal Parliament Building in New Baneshwor.

In today’s meeting, Finance Minister Bishnu Prasad Paudel is slated to present a proposal to consider the Alternative Finance Mobilization Bill, 2081, according to the Parliament Secretariat.

Similarly, Minister for Physical Infrastructure and Transport Devendra Dahal is slated to present a proposal to consider the Ships (Operation and Management) Bill, 2081, which originated in the National Assembly.

Also in the meeting, Public Accounts Committee Chairperson Hrishikesh Pokharel will present the 23rd Annual Report of the Public Accounts Committee, 2082, and Speaker Devraj Ghimire will read out a letter from the President’s Office regarding the certification of a bill.

Similarly, the National Assembly will meet at 1:15 PM today. In this meeting, Minister for Federal Affairs and General Administration Raj Kumar Gupta will present a proposal to consider the Federal Civil Service Bill, 2080, received with a message from the House of Representatives.

Additionally, Minister for Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation Deepak Khadka will propose sending the Water Resources Bill, 2081—also received from the House of Representatives—to the Legislative Management Committee for clause-wise discussion, according to the Federal Parliament Secretariat.
