Today’s foreign currency exchange rates



KATHMANDU: Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has released the exchange rates for foreign currencies for today (Wednesday).

The value of several currencies, including the US dollar, Kuwaiti dinar, and Bahraini dinar, has declined, while others such as the Australian dollar, euro, and British pound have appreciated.

As per today’s rates, 1 US dollar is being bought at Rs 136.24 and sold at Rs 136.84. The dollar, which had remained stable for the past three days, saw a slight drop today. Yesterday, the buying rate was Rs 136.30 and the selling rate was Rs 136.90.

Similarly, the euro is trading higher today, with a buying rate of Rs 151.36 and a selling rate of Rs 152.02, compared to yesterday’s Rs 151.27 and Rs 151.94, respectively.

The British pound also rose slightly, with a buying rate of Rs 179.95 and a selling rate of Rs 180.74. Yesterday’s rates were Rs 179.40 (buying) and Rs 180.19 (selling).

The Australian dollar is being bought at Rs 87.36 and sold at Rs 87.74 today, up from yesterday’s Rs 87.13 and Rs 87.51.

Conversely, the Kuwaiti dinar has dipped slightly, with a buying rate of Rs 442.97 and a selling rate of Rs 444.92, compared to Rs 443.18 and Rs 445.13 yesterday.

The Bahraini dinar is also marginally down, with today’s buying rate at Rs 361.40 and selling rate at Rs 362.99. Yesterday, the respective rates were Rs 361.54 and Rs 363.13.
