Gold price rises by Rs 800 per tola; silver also up

KATHMANDU: The price of gold, which had declined last Friday, rose again today.

According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers, gold has increased by Rs 800 per tola compared to the previous trading day, reaching Rs 192,900 per tola.

On Sunday, the price had dropped by Rs 300 and was traded at Rs 192,100 per tola.

Gold and silver prices were not made public from Asar 19 to 26 due to a protest by traders. However, following an agreement with the government, traders resumed publishing daily rates starting last Friday.

The price of silver has also increased today. It rose by Rs 65 per tola, with the new rate fixed at Rs 2,285 per tola, according to the Federation.
