KATHMANDU: The long-delayed stone-paving work along the Makhan to Indrachowk road section has finally resumed, nearly two months after stones were laid out in preparation.

Due to the delay in starting the actual paving, sand and gravel have spread across the road, making it difficult for pedestrians to walk through the area safely.

Meanwhile, the road from Indrachowk toward Makhan is being used as a parking space, further adding to the congestion. The area in front of the historic Taleju Temple is also in a similarly unmanaged and chaotic state.

Locals and visitors have expressed frustration over the disorganized construction process and lack of effective planning in one of the city’s most frequented cultural zones.
