In a meeting held at the official residence of Chief Minister Kamal Bahadur Shah, the provincial-level political machinery of the ruling coalition decided to fill the vacant posts on the basis of share-sharing between the coalition partners.
The blueprint for the appointments will be prepared by Chief Minister Shah and UML parliamentary party leader Rajendra Singh Rawal, who is also a former chief minister.
The meeting was chaired by Nepali Congress Sudurpaschim President Bir Bahadur Balayer and attended by top provincial leaders from both parties, including UML central secretary and Sudurpaschim in-charge Lekhraj Bhatta, UML provincial chair Krishna Prasad Jaishi, and other prominent leaders.
Several key positions are nearing the end of their terms, including chairmen of provincial hospitals, as well as posts in the Provincial Sports Council, Youth Council, Tourism Development Board, and Pragya Pratishthan.
