Rabi Lamichhane’s bail hearing begins in Kathmandu District Court



KATHMANDU: The bail hearing of Rabi Lamichhane, Chair of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP), concerning the embezzlement case of Swarnalakshmi Cooperative in Kathmandu, has commenced at the Kathmandu District Court.

Lamichhane had recently been released from judicial custody in Kaski on Thursday after posting a bail of Rs 6.5 million in connection with another cooperative embezzlement case involving the Suryadarshan Cooperative in Pokhara.

Following his release in Kaski, Lamichhane voluntarily appeared at the Kathmandu District Court on Sunday due to pending charges related to Swarnalakshmi Cooperative.

However, as the bail hearing could not conclude on Sunday, he was remanded into judicial custody for further proceedings.
