Journalist Narayan Aryal surrounded by police amid arrest speculation



KATHMANDU: Journalist Narayan Aryal has been surrounded by police at the building housing Nataraj Travel in Kupandol amid growing speculation about his arrest.

Baikuntharaj Parajuli, secretary of the Federation of Nepali Journalists, confirmed that plainclothes police officers have surrounded Aryal’s residence.

Nepal Press Union Central President Shiva Lamsal and several other journalists are also present at the scene.

Earlier in the day, Aryal had informed Khabarhub that plainclothes police had visited his residence in Kupandol searching for him. However, he had already left by the time they arrived, temporarily avoiding arrest.
