PM Oli: No reason for youth to feel hopeless in Nepal

KATHMANDU: Prime Minister and CPN-UML Chair KP Sharma Oli has said that there is no reason for young people to feel hopeless in Nepal.

He urged youth to embrace entrepreneurship and announced that the government is working to create a supportive environment for self-employment.

Addressing a CPN-UML awareness rally in Damak, Jhapa, Oli said certain groups were actively discouraging youth from staying in the country by spreading negativity.

He emphasized the need to counter such sentiments by creating opportunities that encourage youth to stay and grow in Nepal.

“The theme today is developing entrepreneurship. Learn from one another, seek training, and local and provincial governments must step up to support these efforts,” he said.

Oli also called on UML cadres to start initiatives from the grassroots level and revealed that a youth festival will be held in Kathmandu on Baisakh 11.

He appealed to youth wings and organizations to mark the day when the reinstated parliament triumphed over the king’s dissolution move as a victory celebration, especially involving those under 40.
