UML stages nationwide demonstrations demanding reinstatement of dissolved House

KATHMANDU: The CPN-UML staged demonstrations across the country on Tuesday, demanding the reinstatement of the dissolved House of Representatives.

As part of its nationwide public outreach campaign, the party organized motorcycle rallies and mass processions in various municipalities.

According to the party’s decision, the UML has been conducting awareness and protest programs at the ward, municipal, district, and national levels against the dissolution of Parliament.

In Kathmandu, the UML Metropolitan Committee organized a goodwill rally and demonstration at Basantapur.

UML leader Anand Prasad Pokharel said the demonstrations were part of a broader “awakening campaign” against the dissolution, adding that similar protests would continue across the nation.

The UML has planned district-level demonstrations on November 15 and a major mass gathering in Kathmandu on November 22.
