Bhaktapur police detain 30 more individuals in sweep against public disorder



KATHMANDU: Police in Bhaktapur have detained 30 additional individuals for their alleged involvement in activities disrupting public order and security in public spaces.

According to District Police Office Bhaktapur Chief Surya Bahadur Khadka, the arrests were made during a sweep operation conducted on Sunday night across various locations in the district. The individuals were reportedly found gathering in groups, creating disturbances, consuming illegal substances, and engaging in suspicious behavior.

Police had earlier detained 60 individuals on Saturday on similar charges and launched an investigation into their activities.

Authorities stated that those found not involved in unlawful conduct during the investigation process will be released.
