NTC offers free data and voice calls for three days

KATHMANDU: Nepal Telecom has announced a three-day offer of free data and on-net voice call services to help citizens stay connected during the ongoing crisis.

According to company spokesperson Rabindra Manandhar, the service became active from Tuesday night. He said the move was aimed at easing communication between families and relatives both within Nepal and abroad.

Customers can activate the services by dialing 141583# for data and 141587# for voice calls. The company has also sent SMS notifications to all subscribers with the activation details.

The free data package provides internet at a speed of 1 Mbps, while the complimentary voice service is valid only within Nepal Telecom’s network.

“This initiative has been taken considering the difficult circumstances, so that people remain connected with their loved ones,” Manandhar said.
