Minister Singh emphasizes development that public can experience

KATHMANDU: Minister for Urban Development Prakash Man Singh has emphasized the need for development work that the public can directly feel and experience.

Speaking at the 31st anniversary celebration of the High Powered Bagmati Integrated Civilization today, Minister Singh stated that it is time to move beyond publicity and focus on executing projects that visibly impact the people.

“We have completed many projects, but it’s important that the general public is properly informed about them. The ongoing works should also be communicated to the people,” he said.

He also highlighted the reconstruction and renovation of temples along the Bagmati River banks.

Singh expressed dissatisfaction over the lack of effective progress on the ‘Heritage Walk’ along the river, which is home to numerous heritage sites.

He stressed the need for immediate management of the river corridor and its cleanliness.

“We need to clean the rivers and eliminate the foul smell,” he said. “Our responsibility is to plan and move forward with effective action.”
