Gyanendra Shahi accuses PM Oli of involving Yogi Adityanath’s photo in former King’s reception

KATHMANDU: Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) Chief Whip Gyanendra Shahi has accused Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli of orchestrating the placement of a photo of Indian Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath at the reception for former King Gyanendra Shah.

Shahi made the claim through a social media post on Facebook today, alleging that the photo was placed at the reception on the direct instructions of PM Oli, with the involvement of his chief political advisor, Bishnu Rimal.

“It has been found that the photo of Indian Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath was placed at the reception for the king yesterday on the instructions of Prime Minister KP Oli himself by the chief political advisor Bishnu Rimal,” said Shahi.

Shahi expressed his concern, stating that this move was intended to overshadow the reception, which was meant to highlight the Nepali national flag. He further criticized the actions, questioning the alignment of party leaders with foreign agendas, and questioning their commitment to Nepal’s sovereignty.

The large photo of Yogi Adityanath was visible during the reception for former King Gyanendra, who returned to Kathmandu from Pokhara after a month-long stay.
