Prachanda reiterates commitment to good-governance, prosperity and social justice

MAHOTTARI: CPN (Maoist Centre) Chair and former Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has reiterated his firm commitment to good-governance, prosperity and social justice.

Addressing a programme organized on the 22nd anniversary of Adharsheela Commune at Bardibas Municipality-3 in Mahottari district on Monday, the Maoist Centre Chair said that his party has decided to intensify community-based activities.

“We recently completed the party’s central committee meeting. Now, we will focus on community-based activities. For this, we are launching a campaign to meet the people along the Postal Highway from February 24,” he elaborated.

Prachanda was of the view that the campaign shall strengthen the party’s relations with the community.

Saying that the goals of politics, economy and cultural transformation would remain incomplete until social assimilation, he asked the party’s grassroots level committees to forward the people-centric activities in a planned manner.

Likewise, Prachanda announced to set up communes like Adharsheela across the country terming Adharsheela as a noble effort. He argued that such communes to be established in different parts of the country would be the model for the foundation of socialism.

On the occasion, Assistant General Secretary of CPN (Maoist Centre) and Madhes Province In-charge Matrika Yadav and another Assistant General Secretary Girirajmani Pokhrel shared their views on advancing ahead by ending factionalism in the party and the relevance of Adharsheela Commune.

Established in 2003 by leaders including Girirajmani Pokhrel, Adharsheela Commune now houses 16 households.
