KATHMANDU: The Nepal Rastra Bank has released today’s (Monday) foreign currency exchange rates.
With the exception of the US dollar and Bahraini dinar, the value of most foreign currencies has declined, including the Australian dollar, pound, euro, and Kuwaiti dinar.
According to the exchange rates released by the Rastra Bank, the buying rate for one US dollar today is 139 rupees 59 paisa, while the selling rate is 140 rupees 19 paisa. These rates are consistent with those of the previous day.
On this same day last week, the buying rate of one US dollar was 139 rupees 83 paisa, and the selling rate was 140 rupees 43 paisa. This was the highest ever recorded price for the US dollar in the Nepali market.
Additionally, today the buying rate for one euro is 144 rupees 16 paisa, and the selling rate is 144 rupees 78 paisa.
Yesterday, the buying rate for one euro was 144 rupees 90 paisa, and the selling rate was 145 rupees 52 paisa.
For one pound sterling, the buying rate is 173 rupees 24 paisa, and the selling rate is 173 rupees 98 paisa today. Yesterday, the buying rate for one pound sterling was 173 rupees 84 paisa, and the selling rate was 174 rupees 59 paisa.
For the Australian dollar, the buying rate is 87 rupees 54 paisa, and the selling rate is 87 rupees 92 paisa today. Yesterday, the buying rate for one Australian dollar was 87 rupees 70 paisa, and the selling rate was 88 rupees 08 paisa.
The buying rate for one Kuwaiti dinar is 452 rupees 05 paisa, and the selling rate is 454 rupees today. Yesterday, the buying rate for one Kuwaiti dinar was 452 rupees 27 paisa, and the selling rate was 454 rupees 22 paisa.
Similarly, the buying rate for one Bahraini dinar remains unchanged at 370 rupees 27 paisa, and the selling rate is 371 rupees 86 paisa, consistent with yesterday’s rates.
