Preparations underway for 10th National Games in Karnali

KARNALI: Preparations for the 10th National Games, scheduled to be held in Surkhet from April 5, are in full swing, according to Tanka Lal Ghising, Member-Secretary of the National Sports Council (NSC).

During an onsite visit to the Karnali Province Stadium, Ghising said the games are a top priority for the council, in line with decisions made at its 118th meeting.

He praised the efforts of the Karnali province government in constructing the necessary infrastructure to host the event.

Out of the 36 sports included in the National Games, 24 will be held in Karnali province.

Social Development Minister of Karnali Province, Ghan Shyam Bhandari, also expressed commitment to ensuring the timely organization of the event.

“We are working diligently to meet the requirements and deadlines for the 10th National Games,” said Bhandari.
