PM Karki says government working at full speed to ensure good governance

KATHMANDU: Prime Minister Sushila Karki has said that the current government is not just an election-focused administration but one committed to ensuring good governance with urgency and determination.

Speaking at a program organized at the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers on the occasion of the 22nd International Anti-Corruption Day, PM Karki said the government was formed on the foundation of the Gen-Z movement’s demand for transparency and accountability. She stressed that her administration is working at full speed to deliver on those expectations while carrying out regular governance duties.

“It may take time to achieve the expected results in line with the aspirations of Gen-Z, but the government will not hesitate to take the toughest possible actions against corruption. State mechanisms required for this are already active,” she said.

PM Karki added that some elements, unsettled by recent actions, have tried to issue direct or indirect threats, but the government will not be intimidated. She urged officials and civil servants to remain unwavering and confidently exercise their professional independence while moving forward.
