Nepali Communist Party submits documents to Election Commission for party registration

KATHMANDU: The Nepali Communist Party has submitted the necessary documents to the Election Commission for party registration.

On Sunday, party leaders Barshaman Pun, Rajendra Pandey, and Dev Gurung reached the commission and handed over the required papers for the process.

According to leader Rajendra Pandey, the delegation submitted the party’s statute, minutes, and manifesto, among other documents. He said that since all requirements have been fulfilled, the party expects to receive its registration certificate soon.

Similarly, leader Barshaman Pun stated that the party would continue its efforts toward communist unity. He remarked that although leaders such as Janardan Sharma and Ghanashyam Bhusal remain close ideologically, they have deviated from the main path, while his group has stayed on course. He called on all leftist leaders to join hands for broader unity.

Pun also expressed confidence that those who have parted ways would eventually return to the communist unification process. The Nepali Communist Party, formed through the unification of ten leftist parties including the Maoist Centre and CPN (Unified Socialist), had earlier applied for registration. The party submitted the additional documents requested by the commission to complete the process.
