Yeti Airlines to suspend flights on election day

KATHMANDU: Yeti Airlines has suspended all its scheduled flights on March 5, the day of the House of Representatives election.

The airline issued a notice stating that no flights will operate on the election day. However, Election Commission Nepal has decided to allow domestic flights to continue during the election period, leaving it up to airlines to operate services if they wish.

According to Yeti Airlines, regular flight operations will resume from March 6.

The airline has also stated that shuttle bus services will be available in Kathmandu for air passengers. However, similar facilities will not be available at other airports, which could make travel less convenient on that day.
