UPDATE: Fire at Daura Thakali in Pulchowk brought under control



KATHMANDU: The fire that broke out at Daura Thakali in Pulchowk, Lalitpur, has been brought under control.

According to Lalitpur District Police Spokesperson SP Gautam Mishra, the blaze was contained shortly after it started with the help of fire engines and security personnel deployed at the scene.

The restaurant, located on the eighth floor of the building, was completely gutted in the incident. Areas other than Daura Thakali also sustained partial damage.

SP Mishra said the preliminary investigation suggests that the fire was caused by an electrical short circuit. No human casualties have been reported.
