Saptari to seal borders with India for election security



SAPTARI: In view of the upcoming Legislative Assembly elections in the Indian state of Bihar, all border crossings in Saptari district will be closed for three days starting Sunday night.

According to a notice issued by Saptari’s Chief District Officer (CDO) Tubaraj Pokharel, the decision was made to ensure security and maintain law and order during the election period in neighboring Bihar.

As per the District Administration Office, the border crossings will remain closed from midnight on November 9 until midnight on November 11.

During this period, movement through all border points connecting Saptari with Bihar’s Madhubani and Supaul districts will be strictly prohibited.
