KATHMANDU: Shailung, a stunning tourist destination in Dolakha, has emerged as one of Nepal’s most picturesque travel spots.
Situated at an altitude of 3,400 meters, the area is often blanketed in snow, attracting visitors from across the country.
Tourists flock to Shailung to experience its snowy landscapes and panoramic views. From here, one can see a wide range of mountain peaks including Gaurishankar, Ganesh, Jugal, Annapurna, as well as the hills and mountains of the Mahabharat range.
Beyond its natural beauty, Shailung also holds religious significance for both Hindus and Buddhists. The site hosts religious fairs during festivals such as Janai Purnima and Bala Chaturdarshi.
