Fire breaks out at Salyan Festival venue, 80 stalls destroyed



SURKHET: A fire broke out at the ongoing festival in Shree Nagar, Salyan, at midnight, destroying 80 stalls.

The festival had 138 stalls of various types at the commercial center of Srinagar.

The festival organizing committee reported that the fire started around 11 pm last night and was brought under control by locals, the Nepali Army, and the police by 1 am.

The fire is estimated to have caused damages worth approximately Rs 100 million.

Initial police investigations suggest the fire may have been set intentionally by an unknown individual from outside the stalls.

The police are continuing to investigate the incident.
