PM Oli calls for vigilance as Trishuli River flood causes damage in Rasuwa



KATHMANDU: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has called on residents living near the Trishuli River to remain alert and take precautionary measures in response to heavy flooding in the area.

In a message shared via social media, the Prime Minister urged people to closely follow updates issued by the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology and to stay in contact with the Disaster Management Office and local security agencies.

“Stay safe, and help keep others safe too,” he wrote.

The overnight flood has caused significant destruction in Rasuwa district, with several people believed to have been swept away by the surging river. The government has deployed helicopters to assist in rescue operations.
