DARCHULA: An earthquake with its epicenter in Nepal’s Darchula district occurred this morning (Sunday).
According to Lokbijay Adhikari, senior seismologist at the National Seismology and Research Center, the quake struck at 8:28 a.m. on Sunday.
“A 4.6-magnitude earthquake occurred near Ghusa in Darchula district,” he said. Adhikari added that, as this is not a major earthquake, the likelihood of damage is generally low.
“Earthquakes below magnitude 5 typically do not cause damage,” he said. “This one is not expected to cause any either.”
