“Test will come for others too,” says Rabi before jail term

KATHMANDU: Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) Chair Rabi Lamichhane has expressed his respect for the court’s decision and reaffirmed his intention to exercise the rights granted by law.

Before being sent to jail today, he announced his plans to appeal the lower court’s decision in a higher court.

Rabi stated, “I am confident that justice will prevail from the temple of justice. However, all the doubts and suspicions raised against me will be proven wrong.”

He urged his party members to keep the campaign going and remain united. “If you can, increase it; if not, don’t reduce it—take the campaign to the people,” he said.

Rabi also complained of being a target of political vendetta.

“Everyone’s turn will come. I was the first to face this test. Just like me, others will have to face it too,” he remarked.
