Mustang-Kathmandu night bus service begins operation



KATHMANDU: A deluxe air-conditioned night bus service from Mustang to Kathmandu has officially commenced, offering a more comfortable travel option for both locals and foreign tourists.

The service, launched on Thursday, is operated by Mustang-Muktinath Service Pvt Ltd, with a one-way fare set at Rs 2,400 per person.

The company, which previously operated deluxe buses, jeeps, and electric vehicles, has introduced this night service to enhance connectivity between Mustang and the federal capital.

Chief District Officer of Mustang, Bishnu Prasad Bhusal, inaugurated the new service in a formal event, highlighting the role of improved transport in boosting religious tourism in Mustang. He urged transport entrepreneurs to continuously upgrade their services in line with modern needs.

Speaking at the event, Baragung Muktikshetra Rural Municipality Vice Chairperson Diki Gurung and Gharapjhong Rural Municipality Vice Chairperson Jamuna Thakali highlighted the importance of passenger-friendly and visitor-friendly services to support tourism growth in the region.

Meanwhile, Mustang-Muktinath Transport Pvt Ltd Chairman, Binod BC, announced that the company is preparing to launch passenger vehicle services on the Lomanthang-Korala route from March 14, further improving accessibility in the region.
