30 injured in Gen-Z protests still receiving treatment in hospitals



KATHMANDU: According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 30 people injured during the Gen-Z protests are still undergoing treatment at various hospitals across the country.

The ministry’s latest update shows that one patient is admitted at Civil Hospital, 10 at the National Trauma Center, three at Kathmandu Medical College Teaching Hospital, five at Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital, three at Patan Academy of Health Sciences, one at Nepal Police Hospital, and one at Kirtipur Hospital.

Additionally, three are admitted at B&B Hospital, one at Birat Medical College Teaching Hospital, one at Nobel Medical College Teaching Hospital, and one at Pokhara Academy of Health Sciences.

In total, 2,316 injured individuals sought treatment, of whom 2,238 have already been discharged. The ministry also reported 49 deaths linked to the protests.

Since September 28, nine protest-related patients have received services through Gen-Z clinics.
