KATHMANDU: The 10th National Games will be held in Karnali Province from February 13 to 19.
The decision was taken during the 123rd board meeting of the National Sports Council (NSC) chaired by Youth and Sports Minister Bablu Gupta on Wednesday.
The board also decided to recommend a cash award of Rs 2.5 million to former athlete Jit Bahadur KC, who won Nepal’s first international medal, to the Cabinet.
Other key decisions from the meeting included directing national sports federations that have not held national competitions for a long time to organize one within three months, ensuring that facilities and awards announced for athletes are provided within 15 days, and submitting reports of foreign visits to NSC for review.
The meeting was facilitated by NSC Member-Secretary Tank Lal Ghising and attended by Vice-Chair Dhruv Acharya, Sports Ministry Secretary Dr. Hariprasad Lamsal, and other board members.
