Today’s foreign currency exchange rates



KATHMANDU; Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has updated the foreign exchange rates for Thursday, with the value of several major currencies—including the Australian dollar, Bahraini dinar, euro, and pound sterling—registering an increase.

According to NRB, the US dollar has become more expensive by 75 paisa, setting the selling rate at Rs 137.00.

On Wednesday, the dollar had increased by 25 paisa, also settling at Rs 137.00, making it one of the most expensive foreign currencies in the Nepali market.

Similarly, the euro rose by 80 paisa today, bringing the selling rate to Rs 147.15. On the previous day, the euro had increased by 60 paisa.

The pound sterling rose by 41 paisa today, with a new selling rate of Rs 185.00.

The Australian dollar also saw a notable increase of 83 paisa, now trading at Rs 89.00. On Wednesday, it had risen by 60 paisa.

Similarly, the Qatari riyal’s commercial rate increased by 48 paisa to Rs 38.44, up from Wednesday’s rate of Rs 37.96.

The Bahraini dinar also appreciated by 79 paisa, reaching a new selling rate of Rs 362.79.

These changes in exchange rates reflect fluctuations in the international currency market, and NRB continues to update the rates daily based on interbank transactions and global trends.
