MUSTANG: Tourist inflow to Mustang has increased by 10.61 percent by November 2025 compared to the same period last year, according to the Annapurna Conservation Area Project (ACAP), Jomsom.
Data shows that 151,230 foreign tourists visited the district by the 11th month of 2025, an increase of 14,411 visitors from 2024.
Of the total arrivals this year, 124,353 were tourists from SAARC countries, while 26,877 came from other nations.
ACAP officials said that tourist numbers had briefly dipped in August and September due to adverse weather conditions and the impact of the Gen Z movement, but arrivals rebounded strongly in the following months.
In 2024, Mustang had recorded 135,719 foreign tourists, including 109,549 from SAARC countries.
Authorities say the rising number of visitors shows Mustang’s continued appeal as one of Nepal’s most popular Himalayan destinations.
