Panchthar jeep accident leaves six dead, six critically injured



PANCHTHAR: Six people died and six others were critically injured when a jeep met with an accident at Katike in Kummayak Rural Municipality-3 along the Tamor Corridor in Panchthar.

According to Police Inspector Rupesh Tamang of the District Police Office, the jeep (Me 1 Ja 3055) was en route from Taplejung to Dharan when it crashed on Saturday afternoon.

All the injured have been taken to BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences in Dharan for treatment. Rescue operations were carried out by teams from the Nepal Army, Nepal Police, and Armed Police Force.

The cause of the accident is yet to be determined.
