Newly appointed IGP Khapung conferred insignia



KATHMANDU: Newly appointed Inspector General of Police (IGP) Chandra Kuber Khapung has been formally decorated with his insignia.

At a ceremony held at the Ministry of Home Affairs on Thursday, Home Secretary Gokarna Mani Duwadee conferred the insignia on Khapung.

The Cabinet meeting last Friday had decided to appoint Khapung as the 32nd IGP of Nepal Police.

Khapung, who was commissioned as a police inspector on November 12, 1995, is set to retire on November 11, 2025 (Kartik 26, 2082 BS) after completing the mandatory 30 years of service.
