At Tribhuvan International Airport, President Paudel was seen off by Vice President Ram Sahaya Prasad Yadav, Prime Minister Sushila Karki, and Home Minister Om Prakash Aryal. Senior government officials, heads of security agencies, and members of the diplomatic community were also present at the farewell ceremony. The Nepal Army offered a guard of honor to the President on the occasion.

President Paudel will attend the Second World Summit for Social Development to be held in Doha from November 4 to 6. He is scheduled to address the main session of the summit on the opening day.

During the summit, President Paudel will hold meetings with several prominent figures, including the Emir of Qatar and United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres.

According to the United Nations, this is the second edition of the summit, being organized 30 years after the first one, which was held in Copenhagen, Denmark, in 1995. This year’s event is being hosted by Qatar.

The summit will feature discussions on global development disparities, demographic imbalances, and the impact of technology on society, among other pressing issues. It also aims to declare a shared commitment toward cooperation and partnership for advancing social development.

President Paudel is accompanied by his spouse Sabita Paudel, communication expert Kiran Kumar Pokharel, the Secretary of the Office of the President, and other senior government officials.

The President is scheduled to return to Nepal on November 6 (Kartik 20), according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
