Vehicle movement banned in Sindhupalchok during night-time

SINDHUPALCHOK: Authorities have imposed a night-time ban on all types of vehicles in Sindhupalchok district due to the risk of floods and landslides following forecasts of heavy to very heavy rainfall by the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology.

A meeting chaired by Chief District Officer Bandhu Prasad Bastola decided to halt the vehicular movement from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. on the Araniko Highway and all major and subsidiary roads in the district from October 3 to 6.
