Two arrested with heroin in Saptari after police fire aerial shots



RAJBIRAJ: Police arrested two individuals with heroin in Barahibirpur, Chhinnamasta Rural Municipality-1, Saptari, on Sunday after firing aerial shots to stop them from fleeing.

Acting on a confidential tip-off, a team from the District Police Office, Saptari, deployed to the area and fired two warning shots in the air before apprehending the suspects.

The arrested individuals have been identified as Bishal Raya of Badibirpur, Chhinnamasta Rural Municipality-1, and Manoj Raya of Dakneshwari Municipality-7.

According to Superintendent of Police Gautam KC, over 100 grams of brown heroin were recovered from the suspects. He confirmed that the suspects attempted to flee when approached, prompting the officers to use aerial fire to bring them under control. Further investigation is underway.
