Protests cause over Rs 73 million in damages in Madhesh Province



JANAKPUR: The recent Gen-Z protests in Madhes Province resulted in damage worth Rs 73.1 million, according to provincial police.

A total of 90 police offices and 207 government offices were vandalised or set on fire during the demonstrations. All affected offices have since resumed operations after repairs, while displaced police personnel have also returned to duty, officials said.

The Madhes Province Police Office reported that protesters torched vehicles worth Rs 20.6 million during the unrest.
