Kaligandaki Natural Hospital now operational



KALIGANDAKI: The Kaligandaki Natural Hospital has officially begun operations in Uttarbahini, Waling-Galyang Municipality-1.

The hospital has been established with a special grant from the federal government, support from Galyang Municipality, and the management of Kaligandaki Gyan Vigyan Pratisthan.

Chaitanya Krishna, chairman of the Kaligandaki Gyan Vigyan Pratisthan, stated that the municipality will develop operating procedures and determine the hospital’s ownership, liability, and long-term sustainability.

“We are working to enhance the services provided by the hospital,” he said. “The goal is to highlight the religious significance of Uttarbahini while promoting natural treatment methods.”

Currently, the hospital operates with ten beds, and plans are in place to expand its capacity in the future. The hospital will also provide accommodation and food for admitted patients. Four health workers are currently on staff.

With the hospital now operational, it is expected to make healthcare more accessible to residents of Syangja, eastern Palpa, eastern Nawalpur, Gulmi, and surrounding districts.

The construction of the hospital was funded with Rs 27.8 million, of which a contract for Rs 21.2 million was signed.
