Nepali Congress presses its MPs for quick passage of stalled bills in parliament



KATHMANDU: The Nepali Congress has urged its lawmakers to rush the passage of pending bills in the upcoming parliamentary session.

During a meeting of the party’s parliamentary committee held at Singha Durbar today, Congress Deputy General Secretary and Member of Parliament Jiwan Pariyar stated that lawmakers have been called upon to work diligently to ensure the passage of these bills in the next session.

The meeting included discussions with party members about the status of bills currently under consideration in parliamentary committees and the reasons behind delays in their passage.

Lawmakers from the Federal Parliament’s committees on finance, education, law, state affairs, industry, and infrastructure development participated in the discussions.

According to the party, 15 bills are currently under review in various committees.

The most recent meeting of a task force comprising members from the ruling coalition, including the Nepali Congress and the CPN-UML, resolved to pass these bills during the upcoming session.
