International Labour Day being marked today



KATHMANDU: International Labour Day is being observed today across Nepal with various programs organized by labor unions and workers’ groups, commemorating the historic victory of laborers in securing the right to an eight-hour workday and other legal protections.

To mark the occasion, trade unions and labor organizations are hosting a range of events nationwide.

The Nepal Trade Union Congress is scheduled to hold a rally in Kathmandu this morning.
